Communications Internship
Position Summary
Communications Interns will be primarily responsible for promoting COVID-19 Today on social media, curating advertisements and attracting new experts, sponsors and press. The responsibilities of the position may fluctuate depending on the growth and development of the website. A successful applicant needs to be very detail-oriented, independent, proactive, and organized. It is also critical to be able to work constructively in a team. Position will be unpaid, remote; and the duration will be 8 weeks.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Grow and maintain the COVID-19 Today social media and online presence; develop innovative strategies to increase social media engagement across all platforms and grow site membership.
  • In collaboration with the management team, support the implementation of the COVID-19 Today marketing and communications strategy. This includes maintenance of internal communications tools such as CRMs and development of content for targeted outreach
  • Help cultivate and expand earned media coverage for COVID-19 Today and collaborate with appropriate staff to grow and maintain relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Support the overall quality and growth of the site
